Sun, sea and Santa Claus!

Not everyone is a fan of the Winter Wonderland that descends during the Christmas period. Christmas in the UK can be a dark and cold environment, so if you’d rather be wearing a bikini with your santa hat, then why not make a festive getaway? Tanzania would certainly be a Christmas with a difference. Take a safari over the plains of the Serengeti National Park and see lions, elephant and buffalo. Get active and take a hike around Mount Kilimanjaro for an experience totally opposite to a traditional Christmas.

Even though it’s a Buddhist country, Thailand celebrates Christmas with enthusiasm and the weather is hot and dry. Phuket, for example, gets 8 hours of sunshine a day and temperatures of 31 degrees. India offers everything from beautiful temples to tiger safaris and beach holidays. Zambia can offer foot safaris and game drives and the amazing Victoria Falls and South Africa has 11 hours of sunshine a day and 25 degree temperatures.

Who could resist The Maldives? Pure turquoise waters and talc soft sand, this tropical nation has it all to offer when it comes to sheer unadulterated bliss and is the ultimate escape.
